Kyoto – Kimono in Gion Palace Garden

The garden is in a traditional palace which was built in 1913 in the famous Gion neighbourhood of Kyoto . It was the location of a museum of Contemporary Art (FMOCA) closed now , and hosted mainly special exhibitions featuring Yayoi Kusama’s exclusive artworks, a stunning display of her artworks in a traditional Japanese building.

Japanese Garden ared designed by following Japanese aesthetic and philosophical ideas, highlighting the natural landscape. They suggest an ancient and faraway natural landscape, and express the fragility of existence as well as time’s unstoppable advance.
